From green tea to hibiscus, from white tea to chamomile, teas are chock full of flavonoids and other healthy goodies.
Regarded for thousands of years in the East as a key to good health, happiness, and wisdom, tea has caught the attention of researchers in the West, who are discovering the many health benefits of different types of teas.

Studies have found that some teas may help with cancer, heart disease, and diabetes; encourage weight loss; lower cholesterol; and bring about mental alertness. Tea also appears to have antimicrobial qualities.

“There doesn’t seem to be a downside to tea,” says American Dietetic Association spokeswoman Katherine Tallmadge, MA, RD, LD. “I think it’s a great alternative to coffee drinking. First, tea has less caffeine. It’s pretty well established that the compounds in tea – their flavonoids – are good for the heart and may reduce cancer.

German chamomile (Matricaria recutita) and Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a common sleep-related breathing disorder that affects nearly one billion people around the world, but often goes undiagnosed. It results in repeated pauses in breathing several times in a night that last for more than 10 seconds during sleep. These pauses can occur several times in a night. Sleep apnea is usually due to an obstruction of the air passage during sleep. Noted music director Bappi Lahiridied recently due to a cardiac arrest triggered by sleep apnea.

Although there is much more awareness now than there was in 2009, one can still easily overlook the signs, which can be diagnosed (through sleep tests) and addressed with medical intervention.

German chamomile (Matricaria recutita) contains some compounds that can relax the nerves and muscles, promote sleep and even cause sedation. All these things are what you need to deal with apnea effectively.

In addition to all these excellent properties, the herb also has some anti-inflammatory properties which can eliminate any obstruction in the airways and hence also prevent snoring.

You can add a few teaspoons of the dried herb to hot water and steep for a couple of minutes or use it to make herbal bedtime tea that you should take about an hour before going to bed.

Grow Echinacea Purpurea for profit

Echinacea tea
Echinacea is an medicinal  herb that is native to areas east of the mountains in the United States. It is also grown in Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey,India, Pakistan, Kashmir, as well as in Canada and Europe. Several species of the echinacea plant are used to make medicine from its leaves, flower, and root. Echinacea was used in traditional herbal remedies by the Great Plains himalayan tribes. People are becoming interested in echinacea again because some antibiotics don't work as well as they used to against certain bacteria.

Echinacea is most commonly used for the common cold and other infections. Commercially available echinacea products come in many forms including tablets, juice, and tea.

Echinacea seems to activate chemicals in the body that decrease inflammation, which might reduce cold and flu symptoms.

Flu (influenza). Early research shows that taking an echinacea product daily for 15 days might improve the response to the flu vaccine in people with breathing problems such as bronchitis or asthma. It is unknown if echinacea has any benefit in people who are not vaccinated. Some research shows that drinking a product containing echinacea and elderberry five times a day for 3 days then three times a day for 7 days might help improve flu symptoms similar to the prescription medication, oseltamivir (Tamiflu).

Himalayan Herbal tea
Herbal tea, or tisane, is any beverage made from the infusion or decoction of herbs, spices, or other plant material in hot water, and usually does not contain caffeine. It has even been promoted as an aphrodisiac.

Externally, it has been used for various skin problems. Made from Kashmir himalayan herbs, fruits, seeds, or roots steeped in hot water, herbal teas have lower concentrations of antioxidants than green, white, black, and long teas. Their chemical compositions vary widely depending on the plant used. Unlimited research has been done on the health benefits of herbal teas. Today, burdock root is used in oncology for its cancer-curing properties, particularly in Russia and India. Many herbalists say burdock root can stop cancer cells from metastasizing. Preliminary research has demonstrated that burdock root has certain protective properties that
