How profitable are elderberries ?

We planted 34 Elderberry plants for the trail purpose in 2001 at a place in Kashmir and at that time we did not know about this plant and we kept increasing the number of this plant every year till now. We have more than 20 thousand plants of it.

In 2008, a  french pharmaceutical r& d unit established contact with us and placed an order of 1000 kgs, at that time we sold it to them for Rs 3.5 lakhs, but today we get twice the price for 500 kgs, and we continue to sell this plant.

Ferula communis, commonly known as the wild Heeng (for reasons that will become obvious when you see the flower!) has an extraordinary connection with the myths of Ancient Greece and particularly the Ancient Olympics! And horticulturally the plant is incredibly useful in the winter garden.
