Banafsha (Viola odorata), also known as Sweet Violet, Gul Banafsha, Banaksa and Neelapushpa, is a beautiful perennial medicinal and aromatic plant associated with the temperate regions of Kashmir. It produces attractive violet-coloured, sweet-scented flowers and can also be grown as a low-growing ground cover.
